Miah

Miah was born in New Jersey but raised here in Colorado Springs. She recently graduated with her Bachelor’s in Biology and Pre-Veterinary medicine in 2023. She is excited to start Veterinary School this fall to further her education in animal care and client satisfaction. She enjoys living in Colorado and loves all the people and furry friends she’s met so far! Outside of work she enjoys swimming, drawing, and spending time with her goldendoodle, Zuko!
Alyssa Russell
Registered Veterinary Technician
Alyssa is a Colorado native & has been in the veterinary field for 12 years, graduating from PIMA Medical Institute in 2012. She has a special love for the senior patients. She has 2 dogs – a miniature schnauzer named Sophie and a chihuahua named ChiChi. She enjoys hiking, live music, and spending time with her daughter and husband outside of work.
Carin Ramsel
DVM
Carin Ramsel graduated in 2003 from Kansas State University. She moved to Colorado in 2005 to be closer to her family. Dr. Ramsel, seeking new ways to help pets, took several courses in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and now uses it to complement Western Medicine. She is currently finishing her master’s degree in TCVM and will be one of the first American veterinarians to have this distinction. She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family, two dogs, & foster cat.
Gretchen Kasameyer
DVM
Dr. Kasameyer has been a veterinarian since 1997 after graduating from our own Colorado State University. After graduation, she spent a year in Caribou, Maine, then worked at Cheyenne Mountain Animal Hospital for 25 years. She had a brief respite from the daily commute from Denver to work at the Animal Hospital Center, a 24-hour emergency center in Denver until she returned to the Springs, and she has been here ever since!
She enjoys all that Colorado Springs has to offer, including hiking, camping, and great motorcycle weather. Dr. Kasameyer is involved in wildlife conservation, environmental stewardship, and trying to keep our government in line! Her own pets have been varied, and many, but currently, she owns Tater and Coleslaw, two sibling English Bull Terriers.
Chris Macedo

Stephanie moved out here about four months after graduation to experience what Colorado has to offer. She loves the outdoors and pushing herself to new limits! She has a big love for animals, especially her cat Honiee and a big heart for food. Her main goal is to try to experience what life has to offer one step at a time.
Katie Delafuente
Veterinary Technician Student
Katie is currently attending Apex College of Veterinary Technology to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has a special interest in surgery and anesthesia. She has always loved animals and really enjoys being able to work with them and help them every day! Although she loves all animals, Corgis have a special place in her heart! At home, Katie has two furr-babies, a corgi named Zeke and a border collie named Zion, one goldfish named Charky, and a husband! Outside work, she enjoys playing video games, traveling, and, most importantly, cuddling her dogs!
